The last month has seen a huge
swing in the weather in our region, and there were a
few fleeting moments that gave pause to the
pleasure of that 'warm summery delight'. You know
the feeling - bright sunny days, trips to the beach,
children laughing, families playing, everyone
swimmimg and splashing...SWIMMING AND
SPLASHING!?!?!
That, of course, is the yearly
realization that to 'swim and splash' anywhere near a
beach (or pool) one needs to entertain the notion of
donning 'swimwear' once again! Naturally, the first
reaction is to convince yourself that you weren't
that bad during the winter - until you take
more than a fleeting glance into the next mirror that
you pass! YIKES! You throw away your autographed
hardcover copy of 'POWER DENIAL: The
Sublime
Journey of Self Acceptance' and wonder whether
you've let it go too late again this year!
Well, we're thinking- its early
April for heaven's sake - there's still time to shed
a few unwanted winter layers and accommodate this
years splashin' fashions! So we thought we'd address
one of the things we obsess about throughout
the year anyway - weight loss!
Statistics show that more than
90% of all adults believe they are overweight by at
least ten pounds. Are you one of them? So how
about actually doing something about those extra
few pounds you've been lugging around? We're here
to help. Once again, we've scoured the web for the
most interesting, ground breaking and relevant
information out there to help you shed those
poundages for good.
In this issue you can calculate
your Body Mass Index, read about children and
obesity, discover how the sun's rays can help you
lose weight and learn about negative (?) calorie
foods. (Oh yeah - we're liking the sound of that
too...negative calorie chocolate, perhaps?)
With two months to go until the
official start of summer - let's slim down, tone up and
walk into our local swimwear shop and announce
with pride and defiance - "I'll take that
yellow polka dot bikini this year!"
Until next
month,
Warmest Regards!
Soleil Saunas
